Colour management
ColorExpress supports the full implementation of PostScript Level 3 DeviceN and can produce separated or composite colour output. For device-independent colour management the standard ColorExpress package has the powerful Harlequin ICC Profile Processor and includes profiles for your selected printers plus tools to allow you to create further ICC profiles.

Step-and-Repeat
The ColorExpress Step-and-Repeat feature facilitates printing of multiple copies of the same job in a pre-defined area.

Tiling
The ColorExpress Tiling feature lets you handle jobs with larger dimensions than the printer format by slicing them into smaller "tiles". Overlaps are shown when tiles are printed and the user has control over printing individual tiles.

Media savings with Compose Pack&Print
Designed to increase job throughput and reduce media usage, the Pack&Print option provides easy-to-use tools for ganging up jobs on a defined print area. Jobs can be automatically positioned with Print&Pack's optimization process or manually placed using drag-and drop tools and numeric coordinate controls.

Drivers for all popular printers
Compose has given ColorExpress the benefits of fifteen years experience interfacing RIPs to inkjet printers, laser printers and copiers, imagesetters and platesetters. Through close technical co-operations with manufacturers such as Epson, Minolta. Encad, Seiko, Mutoh, Roland and Hewlett-Packard, Compose has been able to fine-tune their drivers for many different colour printers. As a result, ColorExpress now offers individually designed drivers for all popular large format inkjets and laser printers ensuring maximum productivity and print quality for whichever printer you select.

Supporting a wide range of technologies
ColorExpress accepts a wide range of file formats - PostScript level 3, PDF, PCL, EPS, JPEG, DCS, DCS2, TIFF and, optionally, TIFF/IT-P1. Connections to networks and storage devices can be through AppleTalk, Spool, Socket, NT pipe, serial or parallel ports.
